According to the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), business travel rebounded in 2024, surpassing expectations for many corporate travel firms. Optimism is high for 2025, with over two-thirds of firms expressing confidence. A majority of corporations plan to increase their travel budgets to accommodate more in-person meetings and conferences. This resurgence is evident in employee activity, three in five buyers of commercial travel services reported increased attendance at meetings and conferences compared to last year. Despite this growth, cost control remains a key priority for 78 per cent of the companies surveyed.
