Average wedding spending in India has witnessed a surge in 2024, reaching ₹32 to 35 lakh, a 14 per cent increase from ₹28 lakh in 2023, said a report by wedding vendor directory, WeddingWire. This upward trend presents a wealth of opportunities in sectors such as event venues, catering, entertainment, and related services. The report highlighted a substantial 28 per cent increase in wedding spending between 2022 and 2024. This surge in expenditure underscores the increasing demand for high-quality wedding experiences, creating a fertile ground for MICE businesses to cater to the evolving needs of the market.
