Sabbas Joseph, Co-Founder & Director, Wizcraft International Entertainment asserts that significant investment in infrastructure is vital to streamline event creation, improve turnaround times, and maximise venue utilisation. He said, “For example, an organised approach could allow a banquet hall to host three events in a single day, compared to just one over two days when disorganised.”
Joseph further talked about Delhi’s MICE potential and opportunities. While Delhi boasts the infrastructure for large-scale events, Joseph highlighted the need for a shift in attitude, greater funding, and most importantly, improved licensing processes. Currently, restrictive licenses and permissions pose significant hurdles. Many government-owned venues are not readily available or are limited to specific uses like sports, hindering their potential for events. Joseph advocates for the development of multipurpose venues with government support to meet the industry’s evolving needs.
