During the launch of the newly renovated beachside resort Samudra Kovalam, Kerala Tourism Minister PA Mohamed Riyas emphasised the possibility of conducting weddings in scenic venues throughout the state, underscoring that the government is actively working to offer excellent amenities for this specialised segment.
“The enhanced sea-front facility would contribute to elevating Kerala’s standing as a burgeoning centre for destination weddings and M!CE tourism,” Riyas said.
The public reopening of Samudra Kovalam took place on January 31 following the renovation of 40 rooms in the third phase of the project. These rooms now feature a contemporary design concept. The subsequent phase will involve the refurbishment of an additional 24 rooms.
