As per the Ministry of Tourism’s India Tourism Compendium 2025, 14.92 per cent of India’s 3.08 crore outbound travellers went abroad for business or professional reasons in 2024. South America drew the highest share of Indian business travellers (46.04 per cent), especially Brazil (55.72 per cent) and Guyana (56.22 per cent).
