High-profile weddings, like those of the Ambani family, set trends and attract global attention. Jain said, “We have got our flag bearer for the Indian weddings, Mukesh Ambani. His son’s wedding was bigger than concerts and global events worldwide. This shows Indians love spending money on weddings.”
Future of weddings in India
Weddings have become increasingly competitive, with families striving to outdo each other. “For everybody, it has also become a competition. I have noticed this something personally. Before COVID, it was not a competition. So now, everybody is looking for something new and unique.”
Trends
Celebrity performances are becoming increasingly popular and are a major expense, with top artists charging exorbitant fees. The demand for high-profile artists is increasing, and Indians are willing to pay those high prices.
