Speaking at the 6th Edition of Travel MICE Show 2021 recently, Mr. Naveen Kundu, Managing Director, EbixCash Travel Services, emphasized the need to look inward and explore the possibilities that domestic destinations offer for MICE. “We are a country which is very diverse in nature and culture. While people are waiting to travel overseas, domestic travel will continue to thrive and dominate. He sees the trend of more and more conferences taking place in India in the coming year because it is only recently, “the corporate have realized that domestic India destinations have a lot to offer to them,” he said. According to Mr. Kundu, meetings and incentives have also started taking place and his team has recently arranged two major incentives in Chandigarh & Haryana in North and Coimbatore & Ooty in the South. “Domestic conferences will keep growing. I am a big believer in ‘Brand India’ and it’s a good way to keep the money in the country. Modern conference facilities are now being offered by many states like Varanasi, Goa, Khajurao, etc.,” he concluded
