In the recently concluded World Travel Mart, experts opined that “business travel, while rebounding, is expected to experience a modest growth slowdown, with projections indicating a 17 per cent increase in 2025. However, the longer-term outlook remains robust, as visits are predicted to grow by an impressive 50 per cent between 2024 and 2030, outpacing leisure travel growth”. This resurgence is marked by evolving trends in traveller behaviour. Business travellers are not only extending their stays but also spending more per trip, reflecting a shift towards a more deliberate and impactful travel experience. Despite this progress, the total volume of international business visits remains 6 per cent below pre-COVID levels.
