The Philippines is targeting India’s high-spending incentive market to boost 2026 arrivals, identifying corporate travel as a top-tier priority. Officials are now pivoting toward luxury segments to capture larger, high-value groups from Indian metros.
“We get a lot of MICE travellers, particularly incentive groups coming in. This is the large bulk of Indian travellers,” said Verna C. Buensuceso, Undersecretary for Tourism Development. She noted that the destination intends to intensify its luxury offerings, with the Tourism Promotions Board now providing curated tours, entertainment, and bespoke hospitality packages. This shift moves beyond budget beach holidays, pitching the archipelago as a sophisticated, end-to-end alternative to traditional Southeast Asian business hubs.
