Oman sees 36% rise in India arrivals in 5 months

Sultanat d'Oman

Oman recorded 331,365 Indian arrivals from January to May 2026, up 36 per cent year-on-year, its strongest five-month performance from India, despite regional uncertainty and shifting travel sentiment across the wider region. May alone saw 81,797 arrivals, up 67 per cent over May 2025 and the highest single-month figure on record, while January grew 61 per cent to 65,816.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism credited Focus Oman 2025 in Jaipur, trade training, joint marketing, influencer campaigns, familiarisation trips, and airline partnerships with Oman Air and SalamAir. These efforts generated over 40,000 passenger bookings and 90,000 room nights. Oman will now push deeper through FAMs, Focus Oman 2.0, and sales missions across Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Delhi later this year.
