In 2023, Macao hosted over 1,000 conventions and exhibitions, reaching its set target. The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) reported 44 projects focused on the four major key industries, indicating a 30 per cent year-on-year growth in the “industry+exhibition” approach. The “attracting investment with exhibitions” model is becoming more refined, with events now guided by the “1+4” industries, IPIM stated. IPIM facilitated nearly 6,000 exhibition participants to explore and consume in various areas of Macao, driving the local economy in communities.
