The Kerala government is planning to resurrect its much-touted International Convention Centre Complex (ICCC) project in Akkulam in Thiruvananthapuram. The project was put on hold for more than ten years for a number of reasons, including CRZ limitations since some of the property had been designated as wetland. Due to the significant demand for M!CE tourism in the capital, the state tourist administration has prioritised this project. A four-star hotel with 150 rooms, a marina, an exhibition hall, and a 1,500-seat conference centre on two storeys will be included in the project.
