The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) hosted its first-ever India Summit, underscoring India’s rapidly expanding influence in global corporate travel. India’s business travel market stood at US$ 40.6 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach US$ 80 billion by 2033, with 15 per cent YoY growth — one of the highest globally. Speaking at the summit, Suzanne Neufang, CEO, GBTA; Catherine Logan, Regional Senior Vice President, EMEA & APAC, GBTA; and Elle Ng-Darmawan,  Regional Director, APAC, GBTA, highlighted that India is now the 8th largest business travel market worldwide and the 4th largest in APAC, a region that contributes over 41 per cent of global business travel spend. APAC, they said, has returned as the tiger of the universe, driving global growth, innovation, and new business travel behaviour.
