The Kingdom of Bahrain is gearing up to host the Asian Youth Games (AYG) from 22 to 30 October 2025 under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), one of the largest convention and exhibition centres in the Middle East, has been selected as the venue of choice for this prestigious event alongside other premier locations across the Kingdom.
EWB will proudly host the opening ceremony indoors—a first in the Games’ history—alongside 13 of the scheduled sports competitions, welcoming more than 5,000 athletes from 45 countries across Asia. The competitions include boxing, teqball, table tennis, MMA, jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, judo, weightlifting, wrestling, e-sports, Muay, kurash, and pencak silat.
Spread across six exhibition halls (Halls 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, and 10), the Grand Hall, and the pre-function area, the events will take place over a combined space exceeding 62,000 square metres. Each competition will have a dedicated setting, with Hall 9 hosting Boxing, Hall 10 featuring Teqball and Table Tennis, Hall 1 for MMA and Jiu-Jitsu, Hall 2 for Taekwondo and Judo, Hall 3 for Weightlifting, Hall 7 for Wrestling, while the Grand Hall will showcase E-sports and Muay competitions.
In addition, EWB will provide a dedicated media centre in its meeting rooms area, ensuring comprehensive global coverage of the games.
