Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), in collaboration with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), hosted a landmark gathering of international association leaders, marking the first event of its kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This prestigious event, held on 10 December 2024, brought together dignitaries, industry leaders, and key stakeholders from sectors such as MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), healthcare, tourism, and other vital industries.
Organized in partnership with ICCA, the event served as a premier networking platform, connecting international association convention and congress organizers with Bahrain’s local industry stakeholders. The gathering highlighted Bahrain’s potential as a dynamic hub for international meetings and conferences, while showcasing opportunities for collaboration.
The event emphasized the critical role of local associations in bidding for international-scale events, underlining how their participation can contribute to sectoral growth and innovation. By facilitating such connections, EWB aims to position Bahrain as a leading destination for global events, aligned with the Kingdom’s broader vision to enhance its economic standing and global appeal in the MICE sector.
The collaboration with ICCA, a renowned global authority in the international association meetings sector, further demonstrates EWB’s commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development. This partnership reflects Bahrain’s dedication to driving progress and building a robust, future-ready MICE industry.
Complementing the event, EWB hosted a comprehensive technical tour for ICCA delegates. The program included visits to iconic Bahraini locations, including Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA), Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre, Diyar Al Muharraq, Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre (MKCC), King Hamad University Hospital, King Hamad American Mission Hospital (KHAMH), and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain). Delegates also experienced a cultural tour, offering a glimpse into Bahrain’s rich heritage and unique tourism offerings.
