Corporate travel rebound: AmexGBT acquires CWT

American Express Global Business Travel has finalised a $570 million acquisition of competitor CWT, indicating confidence in the ongoing revival of corporate travel post-COVID. AmexGBT, a provider of booking and management solutions for corporate travel, stated that the acquisition would bring an additional 4,000 clients, supplementing its existing base of 20,000 customers. Paul Abbott, CEO, Amex GBT, said, “Bringing CWT onto the proven Amex GBT software and services model will create more choice for customers, more opportunities for people and more value for shareholders.”
