A BCD report projects domestic tourism to surge in 2026, with demand exceeding supply as MICE events rise and hotel chains expand into metros, tier II & III cities, and leisure hubs. Visa constraints and geopolitical uncertainty continue to push Indians towards local holidays, providing an extra boost to domestic demand. ADRs may rise 2 per cent, with Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai growing faster at 5–7 per cent.
