Kerala’s tourism industry has made strides under PPP model but convention centres have not been developed under it. Sikha Surendran, Director, Kerala Tourism and MD, Kerala Tourism Development Corporation stressed that the state is open to collaborate with private entities to establish more convention centres. She clarified, “In case any private entity comes forward for the same, the government will be open to facilitating more convention centres.” This move aims to boost the state’s MICE sector, capitalising on its growing demand.
