Germany’s event industry experienced a 24.7 per cent growth in 2023, a significant increase from pre-COVID levels, according to German National Tourist Board (GNTB). GNTB revealed a 20 per cent year-over-year increase in business travel from Europe to Germany, reaching a total of 11.1 million travellers. This marks an 83 per cent recovery from pre-COVID levels. The business travel sector expanded by 23 per cent to 13.5 million trips, solidifying Germany as the preferred business travel destination for Europeans and outpacing the overall growth rate of international business travel from Europe.
