Business travel set to reach US$1.5 tn in ’24: WTTC

While leisure travel has nearly returned to pre-COVID levels, business travel is now rebounding and is expected to surpass 2019 figures by 6.2 per cent, reaching US$1.5 trillion in 2024. According to WTTC’s 2024 Economic Impact Trends Report, the US, which accounted for 30 per cent of global business travel in 2019, will see spending rise to US$472 billion. China is forecasted to grow 13.1 per cent, reaching US$211 billion, while Germany, the UK, and France will also see record-breaking business travel spending.
